Elvin Herbert Nagle

Elvin H. Nagle, 71, formerly of
Old Jonestown Road, Annville,
Pa., and currently residing at
The Tremont Health and Re-
habilitation Center, entered into
eternal rest at 4:40 a.m., on the
morning of Dec. 5, 2012.

Born in Lebanon on January 1,
1941, he was the eldest son of
the late Herbert Nagle and Mary
(Bomgardner) Nagle. He was a
1958 graduate of Annville-Cleona
High School. He was a member of
the Bellegrove United Methodist
Church. He was also a member of
"The Peer Leadership" group at
Tremont Health and Rehab.

After graduation Elvin worked on
his family's dairy farm in Annville.
He loved being a farmer, he loved
working hard and being around
the animals. When the farms were
sold years later, he went on to work
at Murray's Steaks, in Lebanon. It
was very different for him to work in
this environment, but he adapted to
it and stayed there until he retired.

If you ever went to any auctions in
and around Lebanon County you
would more than likely see Elvin in
attendance. Whether it be as a
worker for Ebersole's Auction or just
as an enthusiastic bidder, you could
bet that he would be there. Elvin
loved collecting anything and every-
thing. Some people would say it was
junk, others would certainly tell you
it indeed was not. Collecting brought
a special joy to Elvin.

With failing health, Elvin became a
resident of The Tremont Health and
Rehabilitation Center. He enjoyed the
fellowship and kindness of the other
residents and the staff. Elvin endeared
himself to the Nursing Staff there. You
couldn't be around him and not enjoy
his conversation and humor. His son
Richard would like to thank all of the
kind and wonderful staff that helped
to care for Elvin over the past few years.
It gave him a great sense of relief in
knowing that his Dad was being well
taken care of.

Elvin is preceded in death by one
son, Michael Nagle and one brother,
Donald Nagle.

He is survived by his son Richard
and his wife Jodi Nagle, of Sunbury,
Pa., a daughter, Kay Mattern, of
Lebanon, Pa., Grandchildren: Damien,
Nagle, Bret Nagle and Jenna Nagle,
of Sunbury, Pa., Ashley Nagle, and
John Mattern of Lebanon, Pa., and
two great-grandchildren. A brother,
Ronald Nagle, of Lancaster, Pa., and
numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing at 9:00 a.m.,
followed by a funeral at 10:00 a.m., on
Monday December 10, 2012, at The
Bellegrove United Methodist Church,
Bellegrove, Pa., followed by burial in
the church cemetery.
