Ellen Ai-Lun (Kuo) Larsen

Ellen Ai-Lun (Kuo) Larsen, 44, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home with family. She was born on Saturday, March 8, 1980 to Tai-Chin Lo and step dad Tony Chak Leung Tai. She is also survived by her loving husband, Tim Matthew.

Ellen grew up and attended Island school in Hong Kong, graduating in 1998. Ellen then came to the United States to attend Mesa College. It was there in San Diego that she met Tim when his Navy ship had stopped to decommission in August 1998. They quickly became best friends. In 2001, Tim was transferred to Hawaii and Ellen followed along in 2002. They married in San Diego on July 5, 2003. They moved to Virginia in 2005 where they had their two oldest children (Bella and Jerrick) and stayed until 2010 when Tim retired. When Tim retired, they moved to Palmyra, PA and Lia was born shortly after.

Her life's work was serving others. She was an active member and volunteer at LCBC Church where she served in the kid’s ministry. She volunteered at both school events and various scouting events. For many years, Ellen had a small home manufacturing business that allowed her to stay home and raise her children. She recently took a position at the school because it allowed her to be near her children and work around their schedule.

Ellen is known for her infectious smile, laugh, and heart to serve everyone to make the world a better place. Without it the world will be a little less fun and lot less bright. Our hearts are broken.

In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by her children: Elizabella, Jerrick, and Aurelia Larsen; and sister, Karen Kai Lun Tai. She is predeceased by her brother, Warren Wai-Lun Tai.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10 AM until noon at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10 AM at LCBC, 2392 Mount Joy Rd., Manheim, PA 17545.
