Ellen Travis Anderson

Ellen Travis Anderson, 87, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born August 16, 1938 to the late Malcolm and Meta (O’Neill) Travis.

Ellen was a relentlessly curious person, and she was particularly interested in the younger generation. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a book in hand, and she had a deep love for gardening—especially her cherished irises, which she tended with great care and pride. A world traveler, Ellen embraced new places and cultures with enthusiasm. In her 60’s she spent 8 years RVing around the USA. Above all, she was a loyal and steadfast friend, someone who could always be counted on and who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Natalie Anderson, of Palmyra and Scott Anderson of Silver Spring, MD; and four grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Joan Firman.

Services at Londonderry Village will be published upon completion.
