Ella Mae (Delbaugh) Schiefer

Ella Mae Schiefer, 88, of Middletown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at home with family by her side. She was born Friday, August 12, 1932 to the late Harry Leroy and Mary Catherine (Shipe) Delbaugh of Sunbury, PA and was a proud Sunbury Owl. Ella Mae is survived by her loving husband Charles C. Schiefer.

A graduate of Central Penn Business School, Ella Mae retired from Penn State Harrisburg, after working in the admissions office for 16 years.  An active member of the Rebecca Sunday School class at Riverside Chapel, Ella Mae was also a member of New Beginning's Church of Middletown. Ella Mae had a great skill and passion for sewing and enjoyed using her talents for her family and community. She enjoyed baking and playing cards as well as going on cruises and traveling with her sister and brother-in-law.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Bonnie L. Stazewski and husband Joseph of Middletown, Charles L. Schiefer and wife Lilik of Indonesia, and Susan Stuart and husband Thomas of Jamestown, NY; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and siblings Norma Williard and husband Richard of Sunbury, PA and Robert Delbaugh and wife Nicole of Florida.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place at Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, PA.
