Elizabeth A. “Betty” George, 78, of the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born on April 28, 1936 in Washington, DC to the late Robert & Nancy (Wilson) Paterson.
Betty was retired from grant procurement department of the National Institute of Health.
She was a member of the Masonic Village Quilters, and the Red Hat Society.
Betty was a volunteer in the Masonic Village Library, was a past hospital volunteer, and was a Docent at the Richmond Landmark Theater.
Aside from enjoying quilting she created her own jewelry.
Surviving are her husband Fred C. George, her daughter Dr. Robin E. Spence of New Hope, her son Donald H. Spence and his wife Cindi of Boyds, MD,
her two sisters Jean Reed of Greensboro, NC, Nancy Russell of Amherst, VA, four grandchildren William Kennard and his wife Catherine, Robert Spence, Kristy Spence and Susan Spence.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory of Elizabethtown.
