Elizabeth Galcher

Elizabeth “Betty” Born Galcher was born on July 3, 1939 in Lakewood, NJ, and passed away on May 27, 2016 after a short illness at Manor Care facility in Elizabethtown, PA.

She was a very caring and generous mother and friend.  She spent most of her lifetime in Hightstown, NJ where she graduated from Hightstown High School and worked for Allen & Stults Insurance Co., McGraw-Hill Publishing Co. and Dr. John Laudenberger, DDS.  She was an active member of the Hightstown Women’s Club for many years.  She dearly loved her animals, vacationing in Maine and enjoyed sewing as a hobby.  After retiring, she and her husband moved to Clearbrook in Monroe Township, NJ.  They just recently relocated to Maytown, PA to be closer to their daughter and family.

She is predeceased by her parents Ella Marie and James Born.  She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence Galcher; her daughter, Cynthia and her husband Timothy Bain of Maytown, PA; her sister Marjorie Born of Iselin, NJ; and her twin grandsons Matthew and Zachary, also of Maytown, PA.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  Services will be private. Please omit flowers.
