Edward M. Myers

Edward M. Myers, 71, of Houston, TX, formerly of Hummelstown, PA, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital, Houston. He was born Wednesday, December 30, 1942 in Lebanon, PA to the late Edward and Ruth (Royer) Myers. He is survived by his loving life partner of 40 years, Rodger L. Geisel.

Edward graduated from Northern Lebanon High School. He was employed by and retired from the H.B. Reese Candy Company. Edward was a member of Mountville United Methodist Church. Most importantly he was a loving spouse, brother, and friend.

He is survived by a brother, Richard Myers of Palmyra; 2 sisters, Nancy Gochenaur of Dillsburg and Esther Miller of Lebanon; and 7 canine companions. He was predeceased by 3 siblings Donald Myers, Lee Myers, and Sarah Cherel.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 10 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Monday, April 14th from 6 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday from 9 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Hershey Cemetery.
