Edward Joseph Martin

Edward Joseph Martin 65 of Elizabethtown, PA passed away on February 19, 2024, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. His wife, Stephanie, and his daughter, Jackie, were by his side after battling a long illness.

Ed loved the great outdoors. His passions included birdwatching, hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and camping. He loved walking the forest trails and sandy beaches.  He was a member of the Milton Grove Sportsman Club and a member of Trout Unlimited. He volunteered with a group that cleared streams. He also spent his time teaching children how to fish. He loved seeing the joy on their faces when they caught a one.  Ed graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and UMBC. He owned and operated his own vending business.

Ed is survived by his mother, Margaret (Dolan) Martin of Bel Air, MD, his wife Stephanie (Allen) Martin of Elizabethtown, PA, daughter Jackie (Clay) Moughiman, grandsons Brooks and Briston Moughiman of Dover, OH, brother Mark (Maureen) Martin and niece Colleen (Patrick) Murnane of Rosedale, MD, step-daughter Trina (Shaun) Hoffer and step-grandchildren Sidney and Porter Avers of Elizabethtown, PA.  Ed stated many times “They may not be of my blood but I love them like they are”.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road Bel Air, Maryland on Saturday March 2 at 1:00 pm. A Reception will immediately follow at the residence of Mark and Maureen Martin, 1004 Redbrook Ct. Bel Air, Maryland 21014. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to Penn State Hershey Medical Center in remembrance of Edward Martin.
