Edith M. (Halbleib) Spang

Edith M. (Halbleib) Spang, 94, of Bainbridge, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born Saturday, August 13, 1927 in Bainbridge, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ida (Shank) Halbleib. She was married 55 years to Walter H. Spang who passed away in January 2005.
Edith was a loving mother and grandmother. Always feisty, she loved telling others what to do. She was strong willed, but always gracious. She enjoyed gardening, and most important, was a believer in Jesus Christ.
Edith is survived by two children: Shirl Bender of Elizabethtown and Earl Spang of Bainbridge; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. Edith was the last of 13 children.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Goods Mennonite Cemetery, 4374 Bossler Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 2:00 PM.
