Earl “Butch” Hoffman Wise, Sr.

Earl “Butch” Hoffman Wise, Sr., 50, of Middletown passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017.  He was born December 27, 1966 in Harrisburg to Earl Richard and Ruth Elaine (Rudy) Hoffman.  He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Earl Hoffman Wise, Jr.; daughter, Nicole M. Wise; sister, June Bomgardner of Elizabethtown; brother, Jerry Wise of Nevada.  He was preceeded in death by his son Scott Allen Wise.

He was employed by the Press and Journal for many years.  He was a firefighter of River Rescue #58.  He liked games, was a good hard worker, and loved his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at New Beginnings Church, 630 S. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057 with Pastor Britt I. Stohecker officiating.  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Middletown Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown 17057.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg 17110.
