E. GORDON REIDER

E. Gordon Reider, 69, of West Donegal Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born on February 10, 1944 in Lebanon to the late Jacob and Mary (Zellers) Reider. He was a graduate of Cedar Crest High School.

Gordon was a United States Air Force Veteran having served from 1962-1968 and was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho.

After the Air Force he was employed at Crawford Station in Middletown and then worked at Three Mile Island for 32 years, retiring in 2001.

He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Middletown.

Gordon loved Phillies baseball, Penn State Football and the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed collecting coins and crafts, especially painting and ceramics. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors and traveling to visit lighthouses.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Jamie O. (Gammill) Reider, his daughter Deneice Reider, his two sons Derrick Reider, Darrell Reider and his wife Shelly, his four grandchildren Mitch Reider, Aubrey Reider, Hunter Souders, and Evynn Reider. He was preceded in death by his two brothers John E. Reider and Frank D. Reider.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Elizabethtown. Burial will be in West Green Tree Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Saturday in the funeral home.
