Earl Wayne Pankake

Earl W. Pankake, 95, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2022 with family by his side at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra. He was born Monday, July 5, 1926 to the late John S. and Carrie (Yorty) Pankake. He is predeceased by his wife, Mildred Pankake.

Earl was a retired Hershey Chocolate Factory worker. He was a faithful member and treasurer of his church, Lawn EC Church. Most importantly he was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother.

He is survived by his children: Sandra Light and husband Bob and Rick Pankake and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Kim Hoffer and husband Rich, Marvin Hoffer and wife Ann, Jonathan Light and wife Sarah, Linda Houser and husband Allen, Tom Pankake and wife Lia, and Melissa Isaacs and husband Yoaav; 15 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Russell Pankake. He is predeceased by a daughter, Betty Hoffer and four siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 1:30 PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. William E. Stoffel officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 12:30 PM until the start of the service. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Sandhill Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hummelstown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
