Earl John Bomgardner

Earl John Bomgardner, 65, of Lebanon, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2012 in The Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born Sunday, December 15, 1946 in Harrisburg to the late LTC (Ret) Floyd D. Bomgardner, Sr., USA and Christine M. (Grimes) Bomgardner.

Earl was a vibrant, childlike soul, who was entrusted to his parents for a lifetime of care by The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His love of dogs and horses brought him great joy through the years.

He is survived by a brother, Jack Bomgardner and wife Juanita of Middletown; a nephew, Christopher R. Bomgardner of Lebanon; an aunt, Nancy Ulrich and husband Marlin of Lancaster; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8 ^th at 7 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Leroy J. Bomgardner, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 6 PM until time of the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with his loving parents on Thursday, August 9 ^th at 11:30 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
