E. Eugene Duck
June 25, 1937 — January 22, 2025
E. Eugene Duck, born in Clearfield, Pa in 1937 to Elmer and Luella (Lucas) Duck, who affectionately called him Sonny. He attended Clearfield high school and then attended University of Nevada. He is most remembered for the many years he spent teaching and coaching football in the Cocalico and Elizabethtown school districts. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, M. Manon (Shaffer) Duck.
In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his sister, Nira (Duck) Williams; and daughter, Cynthia (Duck) Eckman; and son, Daniel Duck. He is survived by his sisters, Maxine (Duck) Parko, and Fonda (Duck) Walls; brother Jerry Duck; daughter, Sandra (Duck) Winters; son-in-law, Bruce Winters; grandchildren, Tyler Winters, Travis Winters, Chelsea (Winters) Emrick, Isaiah Hoke, Olivia Duck and Elijah Duck; and great-grandchildren, Nolan Winters, Audrey Winters, Claire Winters, Brayden Winters, Riley Winters, and Adelyn Emrick.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at noon at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. A time of visitation will be held from 11 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be private at Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
