Dr. Robert S Martin

Dr. Robert S. Martin, 94, of Annville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Harmony of Hershey. He was born August 29, 1930 to the late Mario Valentine and Pheobe (Smith) Martin. He is predeceased by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Patricia S. (Smith) Martin.

A proud Navy Veteran, Dr. Martin was a faithful man of his Mormon faith. He was a dentist for 33 years in Lansdowne, PA. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and watching the Eagles. Those who knew him also knew what he always felt, he was a straight shooter. He enjoyed spending time in the Poconos and traveling with his late wife. More than anything he was a loving father, grandfather, and great- grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Robert S. Martin, Jr., and Scott S. Martin; grandchildren, Jonathan Martin and wife Jessica, Katie M. Weiss and husband Derek, and Rachel N. Martin; great-grandchildren; Jon Lawrence Martin, Joel Martin, Julianna Martin, Jeremiah Martin and Fawn Weiss.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Bishop Nathan Johnson officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow the service at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to support The Stine TLC Clinic, which provided specialized care and advocacy for children who have been victims of abuse. Checks should be made payable to Penn State and mailed to Penn State Health, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033. Please add to the memo line “In Memory of Dr. Robert Martin”.
