Douglas Lee Bockey

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Douglas Lee Bockey (71) who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as he was surrounded by his loving family. Doulas was born on December 14, 1953 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Garland Lee Bockey and Anna May Gibbons.

Douglas was a man with immense love for the Lord, always studying the Bible. Doug enjoyed listening to music while cooking and fine dining. He loved entertaining, grilling poolside and watching the Phillies and Eagles. He will be missed immensely by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his three children, Jennifer Scott (JR), Amanda Coleman, and Scott Butsko; three siblings, Deb Zeise (Mike), Denise Gesumaria (Rob), and Rick Bockey (Joni); three nieces Tanya Zeise, Brook Allen (Justin), and Tara Griener (Kyle); and one nephew, Jordan Bockey. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great grandchild, three great nieces, and one great nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11AM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Interment will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10AM until the time of service.
