Dorothy I. (Kreider) Weaver

Dorothy I. Weaver, 97, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Bricker) Kreider. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Weaver who died in 1993.
Mrs. Weaver retired from the Savoy Shoe Factory in 1971 where she was employed as an inspector. After retirement she continued to work as a housekeeper and babysitter. She enjoyed the mountains and crocheting, and in later years liked to draw.
Dorothy is survived by three grandchildren: Kim (Dan) Frye, Newville; John (Denise) Shumaker, York and Chris Zerbe, Elizabethtown; four great grandchildren; two brothers: Richard and Clair Kreider; and two sisters: Elsie DeJesus and Esther Gingrich.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce J. Zerbe in 2012.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM. Viewing will take place on Tuesday from 1:00 until the time of service. Interment will take place in Shenks Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Feed the Children or the Veterans Administration or to the 700 Club Charities.
