DOROTHY K. HEISTAND
Dorothy K. Heistand, 90, of Manheim, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born on July 23, 1923 in Hershey to the late Paul & Ada (Shelly) Kaylor.
Dorothy and her late husband, Walter, were well know breeders and dealers both nationally and internationally of Charolais cattle.
She was a lifetime member of the Colonial Charolais Assoc. and the former The Breeder’s Cup Futurity.
She was an avid supporter of the 4-H and FFA livestock programs.
Dorothy was a volunteer at the Gift & Thrift of Mount Joy for almost 9 years.
She was a member of Chiques Church of the Brethren, Manheim.
She was the widow of Walter E. Heistand.
Surviving are two daughters Diana Lynn Orley and her husband Cliff of Lebanon, Ada Greiner and her husband Charlie of Manheim, two grandchildren Amy Martin and her husband Don of Bainbridge and Adam Greiner of London, England.
She was preceded in death by a brother Shelly Kaylor.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road Manheim, PA.
Visitation will be from 9:30am until 11am on Saturday in the church.
Arrangements are under the care of the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory of Elizabethtown.
