Dorothy R. (Ross) Hauser
February 2, 1926 — January 19, 2015
Dorothy R. Hauser, 88, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born Dorothy Louise Ross on February 2, 1926 in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. Ross and Mamie (Kern) Ross.
She graduated from Allentown High School, class of 1943, where she was a member of the Theta Omega Thi Sorority. She was also a graduate of Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcrest Manor, N.Y. with a degree in Secretarial Science. She was employed by the Lehigh University Business School in Bethlehem, PA, the 3M Company in Ridgefield, N.J., and by Norris Industries in Riverbank, CA.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Hauser, of Hershey, PA, with whom she was married to for 65 years her son James Hauser, husband of Judy (Wise) Hauser, of Palmyra; her daughter Lynn Duckworth, of Knights Ferry, CA; grandchildren Rachel Wolkowski, wife of Thomas Wolkowski of Palmyra; Ryan Hauser, of Palmyra; and Shasta Duckworth, of Oakdale, CA. She was predeceased by a son, William Hauser.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 21st, at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Hershey Cemetery.
