Dorothy M. Graybill, 98, of Annville, went home to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Countryside Christian Community, Annville.  She was born Saturday, July 29, 1916 in Palmyra to the late Joseph L., Sr. and Sara (Shaffer) Graybill.

Dorothy was a dedicated schoolteacher with over 40 years of teaching experience when she retired in 1976.  She taught at Old English Cemetery School (Hanover Church School), Oak Hall School grades 1-8 in a one room schoolhouse, Witmer’s School in Conewago Township, Conewago Consolidated Elementary School, Elizabethtown Elementary School, and Bainbridge Elementary School.  She was a faithful and active member of Balsbaugh United Christian Church, serving as a teacher for Sunday School, Bible School, and Camp Meeting ministries as well as in the Missionary Service.  She was a member of the Hershey Historical Society and an avid volunteer and Ladies Auxiliary member at Countryside Christian Community.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth G. Osterburg; and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by 4 sisters, Fannie E. Wagner, Mary G. Bennetch, Sara E. Bomberger, and Anna J. Graybill; and 4 brothers, Harold J., Clayton S., Franklin N., and Joseph, Jr. Graybill.

Scripture and prayer will be offered by Chaplain John Landis on Wednesday, April 8th at 11 AM with viewing from 10-11 AM at Countryside Christian Community, 200 Bellann Court, Annville, PA 17003.  Friends and family are invited for viewing on Wednesday, April 8th from 6-8 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11 AM, at Balsbaugh Church, 56 East Governor Rd., Hershey, PA 17033 with Rev. John Ludwig, Jr. and Rev. Benjamin Dowdrick officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Countryside Christian Community, Balsbaugh Church, or your favorite charity.
