Dorothy I. (Bowman) George
August 1, 1929 — December 17, 2022
Dorothy George born in Palmyra August 1, 1929 to Chester and Virgile Miller Bowman. Worked 22 years for Hershey Chocolate. Retired January 1994.
She was a member of United Methodist Church. Enjoyed yard work, puzzles, cross stitch and southern gospel music. She and husband Harold enjoyed traveling down south for a week every summer to compmeetings and gospel concerts. She also enjoyed taking care of her pet dogs over the years.
She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Liskey of Lebanon and Rosemary Mease of Lebanon. 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Sister: Gladys Hartman. Preceded in death by Harold her husband of 47 years and infant son Curtis Wayne. Sister Janet Longenecker.
Services will be held Tuesday December 27, 2022. Viewing starting at 11:00 AM with service to follow. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Park.
