Dorothy (Faust) Burket

Dorothy (Faust) Burket, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. She was born Tuesday, January 15, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre to the late Arthur and Leticia (Lunger) Faust. She was predeceased by her loving husband J. Fred Burket, Jr. in 2002.

She was a steadfast and supportive military wife to her beloved husband, as well as a faithful member of John S. Sell Memorial Chapel. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge and created beautiful needlework treasured by family. She loved her pets and had fond childhood memories of being in nature and fishing with her father. Most importantly she was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by a son, John F. Burket, III and wife Susan of Middletown, MD; a daughter, Barbara B. Likens and husband Donald of Yardley, PA; 4 grandchildren, Justin and Meghan Burket, Jessica Likens and husband Joseph Kwon, and Kimberly Likens; 1 great-granddaughter, Charlize Kwon; a brother, Howard Faust; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 9:30 AM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022 with Pastor Kenn Creitz officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 8:30 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
