Dorothea M. (Sease) Amsbaugh

Dorothea Mae Amsbaugh, 77, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Clara (Waughman) and George Sease, Sr. She was the wife of the late John E. Amsbaugh, Sr. who died in 2003. They were married for 50 years.
Dorothea was employed by the former Klein’s Chocolate Factory and was retired from Hestico where she worked as a trimmer. She also worked as an aide at Cookies Day Care. Dorothea enjoyed bingo and word search puzzles, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #596, Elizabethtown.
She will be lovingly missed by her beloved dog, Benji.
She is survived by five children: Geraldine (Lester) Morris, Fredericksburg, PA; Debra (Dennis) Sweigert; Dawn (Wayne) Luttrell; LaWanna (Steve) White, and John (Dana) Amsbaugh, Jr., all of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Dorothea was the last of her siblings and was preceded in death by a granddaughter Christie.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 25th from 6:00-8:00PM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown. Interment will take place in West Green Tree Cemetery on Wednesday, November 27th at 11:00 AM.
