Donald E. Miller PALMYRA Donald E. Miller, 84, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was the husband Arlie P. (Witmer) Miller. Born May 18, 1929, he was son of the late Richard R. and Mary Ester (Dressler) Miller. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. Donald retired after 39 years of working for Milton Hershey School. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, and an avid Phillies fan. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack and Richard "Ben" Miller. In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, he is survived by his son, Dan; daughter, Cynthia; grandchildren, Quincy, James, Danielle, and Luke; sister, Joanne Long; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 24 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
