Donald P. Hauth

Donald Paul Hauth, 83, of Annville, formerly of Pennsville, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Walter and Kathryn (Buchner) Hauth. He will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 58 years, Martha R. (Flick) Hauth.

Donald earned a degree in mechanical engineering technology from SUNY Morrisville College.  He was employed by G.E., De Laval Turbine, and then retired from P. S. E. & G’s Salem Hope Creek nuclear facility as Lead Engineer for Quality Assurance. He was a proud Navy veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was assigned to the USS Rush, a Gearing-class destroyer, where he received an Honorable discharge.

Donald will be remembered by his family as a loving and caring Husband, Father and Grandfather who is forever in their hearts.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Stuart Hauth of Levittown, PA, Geoffrey Hauth of Annville, PA, Shelley (Michael) Vingless of Levittown, PA, Roger Hauth of Levittown, PA, Cheryl Hauth of Pennsville, NJ, and three grandchildren: Alex, Jacob, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter Hauth, and sister Elizabeth Schaffer.

A Committal Service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, April 8th, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA 17003 with Pastor Douglas Pyszka officiating.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
