Donald W. Deibel, 87, of Palmyra was called to heaven by his loving Savior at home on Friday, March 20. He was born on December 22, 1927 in Middletown, PA, the son of Ralph and Blanche (Wise) Deibel. Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, B. Nancy (McCormick) on August 18, 2014. He is survived by his two daughters, Ann Fletcher and her husband, Roger, and Ellen Deibel. Don was dearly loved by his two grandchildren, Amanda Fletcher and Zachary Fletcher and his wife, Melissa. He treasured his three great-granddaughters, Emma Lane, Riley Elizabeth and Gabriella (Gabby) Leigh. Don was unreservedly devoted to Nancy throughout 60 years of marriage and most especially during her final six months on earth. He was a faithful father, an engaged grandfather and amazed to be a great-grandfather thrice over. Don was a man of high integrity with an extraordinary work ethic. He was a member of the Hershey Free Church since 1975. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 11 a.m. at his church with Pastor George Davis officiating. A private interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra will be held at the convenience of the family.
