Donald M. Darr, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home in West Donegal Township.  Born July 1, 1939 in Mechanicsburg, he was the son of the late John and June (Waggoner) Darr.  He was married to Myrna (Schoenberger) Darr on September 25, 1993.

Don proudly served with the U.S. Air Force.  An avid Penn State fan, Don also enjoyed traveling and collecting stamps.

In addition to his wife of over 24 years, he will be lovingly missed by a son, Eric D. Darr, husband of Lauren, of Mechanicsburg; two step-children: Craig S. Heisey, of Stockbridge, GA and Mark E. Heisey, partner of Linda Niesen, of Mechanicsburg and son-in-law, Mikel Moor, of Angola, IN.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Maddie and Liam Darr, Olivia and Abby Moor, Jacob Heisey, and Bailey and Ryan Rothermel.  Don is also survived by a sister, Nancy Slaughter, wife of Terry Kitchen, of Bluffton, SC.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri L. Moor.

A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with a Memorial Mass beginning at 11 AM with Rev. Steven W. Fauser as Celebrant.  Private Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don’s Memory to St. Peter Catholic Church Building Fund, 1840 Marshall Drive, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 or to a charity of one’s choice.
