DOLORES J. "Shortie"  BIMLE

Dolores J. "Shortie" Bimle, of Mount Joy Township, passed away peacefully, to be with her Lord and Saviour, at home on Thursday, April 17, 2014 with her husband by her side.

She was born in Coatesville, PA to the late William C. & Bessie (Roberts) March. Dolores was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

She was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School and West Chester University.

Dolores retired in 2003 after 39 years of service as a physical education and health teacher with the Middletown Area High School.

She was a member of Grace Brethren Church of Elizabethtown. Her real joy in life other than loving and serving her Saviour, Jesus Christ, was playing and watching sports. She especially loved playing for and coaching the Sharp Cuts Softball team. She was a PIAA official for many years for girls’ softball, field hockey and basketball. Some of her favorite teams were the Penn State Nittany Lions Football team and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Dolores is survived by her husband Michael P. Bimle and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Grace Brethren Church, 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Burial will be in Milton Grove Cemetery.

Viewings will be from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022, and from 10am until 11am on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in the church.
