Dennis Lee Daniels

Dennis L. Daniels, 70, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his home in Hershey.  Born January 17, 1948 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Guy O. and Kathryn (Long) Daniels.  He was married to Shirley M. (Hostetter) Daniels on February 4, 1967.

Dennis retired from Hershey Foods after nearly 39 years of employment.  He was an avid hunter, a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of Sherk’s Church, Annville, and was also a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.  Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his wife of over 51 years, he is survived by two children: Dennis L. Daniels, Jr. and fiancé, Connie Smith, of Elizabethtown and Tammy J. Dishong, of Cleona.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amber, Miranda, Zach and Claire, a great grandson, Bentley (who was Dennis’ best buddy), a brother, Gerry Daniels, and wife Deann, of Palmyra, a sister, Linda Ferree, and husband, Chuck, of Middletown as well as a sister-in-law, Jean Daniels, of Palmyra.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Guy O. Daniels, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211 with the Reverend Allen F. Helwig officiating.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service.
