Della Marie Parmer, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Masonic Village. Born in Falmouth, PA she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Lillie (Derr) Hoover. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Parmer, Jr. in 2006.
Della worked for H.B. Reese Company retiring in 1991 after 30 years. Her family describes her as a true mother and grandmother. She had a warm caring heart and will be deeply missed by her family.
Della is survived by four children: Darlene Grant, Jean Parmer (Michael Cairns), Donald Parmer (Deborah), all of Elizabethtown, and Dale Parmer (Carolyn) of Hummelstown; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service. Burial will be at West Green Tree Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
