David Russell Dugan of Harrisburg passed away suddenly on November 24, 2023 at the age of 78. Dugan II and wife Nicole of Palmyra, Laura Dugan of Harrisburg, and his shining light, his granddaughter Alyssa Dugan. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Ferris Dugan, father Russell Dugan, mother-in-law Peggy Panzarello, and nephew Blaine Arnold.
Dave was devoted to his family and was endlessly proud of their accomplishments. He loved attending Alyssa's field hockey games, supporting Laura's theater activities, championing David's work as Palmyra's fire chief, and celebrating Liz's multiple academic achievements.
Dave was well known for being an astute businessman, mentoring many through his years in sales. He came out of his second retirement to return to work to assist with the COVID vaccination rollout. He was awarded a commendation by the Commonwealth of Virginia for his participation in Operation Warp Speed.
Dave traveled extensively all over the world for both personal and business purposes. He loved to travel, and his family will carry with them many wonderful memories of trips together. He was a voracious reader, a gift he shared with his wife and children, and loved to play golf.
Dave also found much strength in his faith. A former member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, Dave later converted to Catholicism and had recently joined St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, where he enjoyed volunteering. Dave was also a member of The Knights of Columbus and previously volunteered at The Boys and Girls Club of America and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania.
