David Lynn Condon

David Lynn Condon, 82, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home. He was born Thursday, March 31, 1938 in Clearfield, PA. He was predeceased by his first wife MaryAnne and his second wife Robin.

Many know that David was an avid golfer, even teaching the sport to others at a golf course in Lancaster, PA. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music and poetry. He even made his own CD of himself singing gospel music and gave every copy away to family and friends. He was a strong and stubborn man but also a very gentle, loving man. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a joke or two with anyone who would listen. He was a humble man, quick to forgive. He gave the best hugs ever and had a huge heart for all animals. Pets would navigate toward him as if they knew he was a kind soul. He had beautiful blue eyes and a heart of gold. David enjoyed word searches and puzzles, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and coffee, and according to his great granddaughter, was a great listener who was very understanding  and comforting. As his granddaughter Angela said “he was my ‘pap’ but more than that he was a rock in my life. He was my father figure growing up and I looked up to him. He quite literally was my hero. He will be greatly missed by us as well as everyone who knew him.” Previously, David attended Cross Roads BIC Church in Mount Joy.

David is survived by four grandchildren: Angela Waser with whom he lived, Karen Wheeler  (David) of Michigan; Malory Kreider ( ? ) of Lancaster and Dylan Condon (Amanda) of Lancaster, and eight great grandchildren.
