David R. Burnham, Sr.

David Robert Burnham, Sr., 68, of Elizabethtown died on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Etters, he was the son of the late David C. and Mary F. (Walstrom) Burnham. He will be missed by his wife of 25 years, Jacalyn M. (Mishler) Burnham.

David worked as an auto mechanic, and previously owned his own garage in Elizabethtown. In his younger years, he liked to go to the racetrack, and had a racecar of his own. He enjoyed going sight seeing and traveling to the beach with his wife. He was also a history buff, who was especially interested in the Civil War era.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: David R. Burnham, Jr., Daniel F. Burnham, Lori A. Hain, and Eden M. Burnham; stepson Ricky J. Faust; and 10 grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 7PM on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1840 Marshall Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022, with the Very Reverend Steven W. Fauser officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
