Darren L. Davis

Darren Lee Davis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the age of 73 at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center in Lebanon, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margie F. (Neely); son, Matthew and daughter-in-law Diana (Scott) of Palmyra; daughter, Melissa also of Palmyra; and grandsons, Maxwell and Alexander. He is also survived by brothers, Ronald (Hoa) of Harrisburg, Patrick (Julie) of Columbia, and Russell (Brenda) of Falmouth; as well as his mother-in-law, Mayme (Waters) Neely of Elizabethtown, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mary Jean (Aikens) Davis.

Darren was born on March 28, 1953 in Westfield, NY. He graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1971. Darren met his beloved wife Margie at Emmanuel Baptist Church. They married on November 17, 1973. Shortly thereafter, he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He worked in various food industry positions as well as at Fruehauf. He most loved being with his family. He also loved nature and the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed the study and care of bees. Most of all, he loved his Lord. Darren was an active member of Susquehanna Valley Baptist Church.

There will be a private family graveside service. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11AM at Susquehanna Valley Baptist Church, 3840 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110, with visitation beginning at 10AM.
