Daniel C. Seitz

Daniel C. Seitz, 70, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Anthony W. and Verna M. (Shissler) Seitz.

Danny, affectionately known as “Oink”, was a lifetime firefighter, serving with both Elizabethtown and Bainbridge fire companies, and worked for B&G Lumber for 30years. He was a wrestler and the captain of the Elizabethtown High School football team, continuing to support the school by attending games and matches. He loved gardening and planting flowers, for himself and his neighbors. Danny frequented the Elizabethtown Fair and even submitted his own crafts and produce, winning ribbons. He enjoyed hunting and watching the Steelers, and was a member of Encounter Church.

Danny is survived by his three children, Anthony Seitz, Sierra Seitz, and JennaLee Seitz; five grandchildren, Hunter, Julia, Liam, Emily, and Lana; a sister, Susan Seitz; brother-in-law, David Snyder; mother-in-law, Yolanda Lauria; and close friends, Tom and Cindy Shaud, Fred and Susie Brandt, and Clinta Yaniscavitch.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12PM at the Word of Life Chapel, 139 Wickersham Road, Bainbridge, PA 17502. Interment will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery, Bainbridge, PA. Family and friends are invited to view on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service. The family is requesting casual dress.
