DALE W. MUMPER

Dale W. Mumper, 87, of Elizabethtown, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care of Mount Joy, after a brief illness.

He was born on February 10, 1926 in Elizabethtown to the late Daniel and Zora (Trostle) Mumper.

Dale worked with his family for many years operating the former Mumper’s Dairy in Elizabethtown. He retired as the owner of the former MAGIC Auto Glass of PA.

He attended Community Bible Church in Marietta, the oldest living member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Elizabethtown Rotary, a 50 year member of Abraham C. Triechler Lodge #682 F&AM, a member of the Harrisburg Consistory, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Zembo Shrine, a past commodore of the Zembo Yacht Club, a member for over 55 years of the Bainbridge Band and played in the Golden Tones.

Dale was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. He was also a skilled yachtsman having traveled the Intracoastal Waterway numerous times, enjoyed his antique boats and spent many hours with his radio controlled airplanes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louise (Bricker) Mumper and his brother Lionel Mumper.

Surviving are his wife Constance J. (Moore) Mumper, his daughter Linda M. O’Connor and her husband Dennis of Elizabethtown, his stepdaughter Donna M. Montenegro and her husband Geraldo of Guatemala City, Guatemala, his two stepsons Robert E. Miller and his wife Joan of Manheim, Darren R. Miller and his wife Susan of Maytown, his three grandchildren Jason A. O’Connor, Eric M. O’Connor, Mallory J. O’Connor, his eight step grandchildren Nicholas R. Miller, Anna L. Miller, Zachary L. Miller, Samantha B. Miller, Audrey J. Miller, Miranda I. Montenegro, Maria R. Montenegro, his two great grandchildren Naomi R. O’Connor and Abram Dale O’Connor.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Community Bible Church, with Pastor Jeff Burkholder officiating. Burial will be private in Mount Joy Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30am until 11am on Friday in the church.
