Cynthia L. Worthington

Cynthia Louise (Way) Worthington, 57, of Elizabethtown passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2016 after battling a long illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Nancy Risser (Musser) and the late George Eugene Way. She leaves behind her husband of almost 39 years, Terry L. Worthington, who loved her deeply.

Cynthia was a dedicated employee of Tyco Electronics for 38 years before retiring.  She loved to go on yearly family beach trips to the Outer Banks, and traveling the East coast from end to end. In her free time, she liked to go bargain shopping with her sister. Cynthia’s family came first in her life. She was overjoyed with the birth of her granddaughter, who she babysat daily while her daughter was at work. She will be remembered as a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and friend.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children: Jennifer L. Snyder, wife of Micah, and Jason L. Worthington, both of Elizabethtown, granddaughter Chloe L. Snyder, and her siblings Robert E. Way, James A. Way, and Judith A. Stock.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Rev. Dana E. Statler officiating. Private burial will be at Mount Ober Cemetery.

Flowers will be received at the funeral home.
