Craig Allen Dewalt, II, 30, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 2, 2015 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born Tuesday, January 29, 1985 in Lebanon to Craig Allen and Wendy Lynne (Harris) Dewalt.
Craig graduated from Palmyra Area High School in 2003 and from Penn State University in 2007 and an was employee of Wal-Mart. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and PSU Football fan. He enjoyed golfing and fantasy football. Craig was attending Palmyra Brethren in Christ. Most importantly he was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He believed tough times don’t last, tough people do. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a sister, Nicole Taschek and husband Stephen, Jr; a niece, Addison Grace Taschek; a maternal grandfather, George Harris; and family and friends that have been there supporting and loving Craig through his battle with cancer.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 10:30 AM at Encounter Church, 220 Campbelltown Rd., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor Larry Rieck officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 AM until time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.
