Colleen (Lambert) Nophsker

Colleen (Lambert) Nophsker, 71, of Fairview Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Harrisburg Hospital.  She was born Saturday, January 1, 1944 in Johnstown to the late Clarence W. and Vera Mae (Rowland) Lambert.  She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy H. Nophsker, with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 31, 2015.

She graduated from Johnstown High School in 1961, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University with a Masters Degree in English.  She taught high school for three years before staying home to raise and care for her children.  She spent countless hours volunteering and giving back to the community that she loved, served as President of Junior League of Harrisburg and Founding Executive Director of Leadership Harrisburg Area.  She and her husband were 30+ year members of the Harrisburg County Club and enjoyed spending time at their home in the Outer Banks with family and friends.  She enjoyed reading, travel, and most of all, she loved and adored her grandchildren, and valued spending time with those she loved.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynn N. Bertram and husband K. Robert of Mechanicsburg; a son, Christian T. Nophsker and wife Chavaleh of Kitty Hawk, NC; two grandchildren, Reed and Devon Bertram of Mechanicsburg; and a sister, Eileen Antonikas and husband Chris of Murrysville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 with John H. Brock, M.Div., officiating.  Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
