Clarence E. Williams, Jr.

Clarence Emmett Williams, Jr., 75, of Palmyra passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday May 13, 2017. Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Clarence E. Williams, Sr., and Mable A. (Stoner) Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Doris J. (Wagner) Williams.

Clarence was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church. He worked for Securitas Security. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, as well as a retired PAARNG E-6, 28th Division, MMC, retired Federal Government NCAD, and retired from the PA Department of Corrections. He was a life member of the VFW Mechanicsburg Post 6704, a member of the American Legion Post 751 in Enola, and member of the Post Legion Riders. Clarence was a former member of Rolling Thunder and Mechanicsburg Vietnam Veterans Organization.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kelly J. McClain of Palmyra, and Tracy L. Despot (Frank L. Sr.) of Williamsburg, PA; brother Sidney Williams of Gettysburg; five grandchildren: Raine A. McClain, Kelli M. Despot, Miranda M. Despot, ThelmaJene L. Despot, and Frank L. Despot, Jr.; eight nieces: Wanda Drain, of SC, Charlene Hamby of Greer, SC, Bonita F. Reeve of Greer, SC, Angela L. Powell of MD, Angela K. Williams and Wayetta Williams of Gettysburg, Dana Reich of McClure,PA , and Kimberly Kerstetter of McClure, PA; four nephews: Steven Williams, Jr. of Gettysburg, Eric Wagner of Middleburg, PA, Charles S. Beasley of NC, and Anthony Beasley of SC; eleven great-nephews, seven great nieces, and one great great niece. He was preceded in death by his sons Justin and Jeremy Williams, nephew Darryl Williams, sister Linda L. Jordan, and brother Steven William Sr.

Services will be announced at a later date.
