Clair S. Stoner
Clair Stanton Stoner, 95, of Annville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at The Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. He was born Sunday, November 26, 1916 in E. Hanover Twp., to the late Sherk and Maud (Nye) Stoner. He was predeceased by his wife, Winifred (Fake) Stoner, in 1997.
He graduated from Cornwall High School in the class of 1933, retired from Hershey Chocolate Co. as a supervisor of mechanical maintenance after 45 years of loyal service. He was US Navy Veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of Campbelltown UCC and Robert L. Eckert Post #831 American Legion.
He is survived by a son, Ronald and wife Sandra of Bellevue, WA; grandson, Jeffrey and wife Eileen of Bellevue; granddaughter, Deborah and husband Steve of Cambridge, MA; great grandson, Tomio Wang Stoner of Bellevue; 3 brothers, Cyrus of Palmyra, Glenn of Palmyra, Donald of Cornwall; 2 sisters, Loretta Walmer of Rocherty, and Jean Mumma of Mt. Joy. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Russel and Bruce.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home, 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Rev. Dwight Hein officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
