Christine L. Hanna, 59, of Mount Gretna, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of Robert and Joan (Hummer) Yiengst.

Chris received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature from California State East Bay in California. She was an avid reader and loved to write. A very talented artist, Chris excelled at the creative pursuits enjoying decorating, painting and drawing. During her time living in Georgia, she volunteered to teach art class at Mckendree Park preschool where her children, Max and Camille attended school. When she lived in California, she volunteered to teach English to non-native English speakers at the local public library.

An accomplished cook, Chris loved cooking for her family and friends. She was an incredible mother to both of her children and dedicated much of her time to their schoolwork, sports, and extracurricular activities. Chris was best known for her witty sense of humor and big smile, which lit up whatever room she was in.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Camille Hanna of Amsterdam, granddaughter, Rory Rae Hanna, brother, Kevin Yiengst of Palmyra, as well as numerous extended family members. She was predeceased by her son, Maxmillian Hanna.

A Celebration of Christine’s Life will be held from 2-5PM, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Timbers, 350 Timber Rd., Mt. Gretna, PA 17064. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Palmyra.
