Chase A. Longenecker

Chase Andrew Longenecker, 28, of Harrisburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Born in Hershey, was the beloved son of Tanya L. Hansell, Donald G. Longenecker, companion of Michel Burke.

Chase was a fun loving, spirited, kind and beautiful soul. His infectious smile would light up a room with a way that always made you feel welcome. He loved helping those around him and often put the needs of others in front of his own, even if it meant giving the shirt off his own back. He had a great, quirky sense of humor which brought many smiles and much laughter to those around him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Shya, was great with kids and fiercely protective of his siblings.

His love of animals lead to a successful career as a skilled pet groomer at the renowned Tailwashers Hollywood Grooming Salon in Los Angeles.

Chase had a very creative mind. He enjoyed rap music, electronics, designing home audio-video systems and used his knowledge to design various immersive spaces. This led to a successful position as a home audio/video technician at the Geek Squad at Best Buy.

Chase was loved by many and will truly missed by all.

Chase is survived by his siblings Derrik Koppenhaver, Emilee Longenecker, Eve Shuman, Isaiah Shuman, maternal grandfather Stephen Parker, aunts Laurie Rippon, Crystal Hansell, Joyce Baker, Renee Longenecker, and Jane Suter, uncles Damian Parker, Kevin Longenecker, Bruce Longenecker as well as numerous cousins and many friends that he loved like family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service.
