Charles Melvin Cobaugh

Charles Melvin Cobaugh, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was born on Wednesday, February 7, 1934 to the late Ernest S. and Mary (Peoples) Cobaugh. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Shirley A. (Querry) Cobaugh.

Charles enjoyed golfing, and listening to gospel and classical music. He was a member of the Rotary and was also a congregational song leader for more than 10 years. Charles worked for over 20 years as an accountant at Farmers Mutual before retiring. More than anything he was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his son, Stephen M. Cobaugh; a daughter, Deborah A. Miller and husband Douglas; three grandchildren: Leslie Gearhart, widow of Derek Gearhart; Natalie Grager and husband Todd; Cole Miller and wife Kelsey. He is predeceased by a sister, Emily Miller.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11 AM at the E-Town Grace Church, 305 Anchor Rd., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. A time of viewing will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service and burial will follow the service at Risser’s Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
