Charles A. Bordner

Charles Arthur Bordner, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born in Joliett, he was the son of the late Jacob J. and Katie R. (Scholl) Bordner. He was the loving husband of Patsy L. (Updegrave) Bordner.

Charlie attended Williamson College of the Trades, and retired from the Quaker Oats Company after 41 years. He enjoyed trout fishing and woodworking. Charlie was an active member of Geyers United Methodist Church of Middletown. Above all, Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by two children, Donna L. Bordner of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Kenneth A. Bordner (Nanaette) of Dillsburg, PA; three stepchildren, Michael C. Starr, Kimberly A. Newman, and Wendy J. Sperow; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepson, David A. Starr; and two siblings, John Bordner and Helen Haubenstine; along with his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 12PM at Geyers United Methodist Church, 1605 S Geyers Church Rd, Middletown, PA 17057. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 11AM until the time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
