Charle J. Gutshall

Charles Junior Gutshall, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown. He was born Monday, May 30, 1932 in Elizabethtown to Edward and Grace (Hockenberry) Gutshall. He was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth (Clark) Gutshall in 2012.

Charles was a lifetime member of the Middletown Hunters and Anglers Club. He enjoyed hunting, going to the mountains, and going to block shoots with his brother Jim, his son Charlie, and his friend Jim Summers. He loved attending carnivals and auctions. Charles kept active by swimming and going to the beach. Most importantly he was a loving family man that enjoyed cooking out and spending time with his family.

He is survived by 5 children, Charles E. Gutshall and wife Karen of Harrisburg, Janice M. Geesey of Elizabethtown, Richard E. Gutshall of Litiz, Dennis L. Gutshall, Sr. of Elizabethtown, and Kathy A. Gutshall of Elizabethtown; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Harold Gutshall of Elizabethtown, Dorothy Blough of Lancaster, Jane Bixler of Elizabethtown, and Nancy Zern of Campbelltown. He was predeceased by a brother, Jim Gutshall.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 11 AM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022 with Rev. Samuel Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Shenk’s Community Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Monday, August 11th from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the service, both at the funeral home.
