Carol Anne Lagatta

Carol Anne LaGatta, born March 24, 1954, passed suddenly on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the age of 70. Carol was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed dearly by everyone whose lives she touched. She was kind, smart and supportive to all her friends and family.

Carol loved to read. She was very active in her online book club community. She helped critique many writings and did so with humility, humor and grace, knowing how difficult it is to share stories so personal to the authors who wrote them. She had a huge heart and was very empathetic to people and animals, especially cats.

Carol lived an amazing, exploratory life for some time during her younger years. She attended the original Woodstock Event. She traveled the country, visiting every state. She enjoyed many Broadway Shows in Manhattan and was able to attend a few Comic Con events with friends from all over the country. Gone way to soon. Carol will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Carol is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Ken Frank. Her children Robert Hovorka, Jr, Rebecca Anne Tfelt and Timothy Carl Hovorka. Grandchildren Kevin Daniel Tfelt, Emily Jeanne Tfelt, Peyton August Tfelt and Zoe Taylor Welsh. Her nieces Amanda and Caitlin, their husbands and children. As well as her best friend James L. Proudfit.

A zoom service will be held at a future date so loved ones may reflect and pay their respects via social media. We send our deepest sympathies and love to all who knew her and loved her. Thank you for your prayers and support during this very difficult time.
