Carol V. Deshong

Carol V. Deshong, 81, of Elizabethtown passed away on Tuesday November 14, 2023. She was born December 23, 1941, to the late Edward and Francis (Englehardt) Stephens.
After graduating high school, she furthered her education at Messiah College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree. She then spent working career as an elementary school teacher. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting as well as her card club. Carol was a very strong believer in God taught Sunday school for many years as well as teaching Bible study at her home.
She is survived by her children: Jeff Deshong (Maria), Howard Deshong (Jessica), Pleasant Deshong Jr.(Ruth), Michelle Deshong and Deborah; grandchildren: Natria, Harrison, Amelia, Russell, Sara, Ethan, Jeffrey Jr. and Pleasant; siblings: Nancy, Theodore, Alice and Virginia. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Pleasant Deshong and two young siblings who passed shortly after birth.
