Carl E. Wert
February 21, 1928 — August 17, 2020
Carl E. Wert, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Tuesday, February 21, 1928 in Mount Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late James and Edith (Wertz) Wert. He was married 64 years to Neda Mae (Davis) Wert who passed away in December 2018.
Carl is survived by three married sons: Daryl and Diana Wert of Wyomissing, PA; Terence C. and Joyce Wert, of Elkhart, IN and Brian and Kathy Wert of Cresco, PA; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and brother Arthur Wert and wife Dorothy, of Elizabethtown, PA.
He was predeceased by his son David and brothers Lowell, Glenn and Blake Wert.
A viewing will be held at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 4:00-5:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, PA, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to Masonic Village Hospice, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 or to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
