C. Rodney Fink
C. Rodney Fink, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Friday, June 24, 1932 in Conoy Township to the late Clyde E. and Elva (Hipple) Fink. He was married to Lois E. (Burkholder) Fink on May 18, 1957.
Mr. Fink was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict proudly serving with the U.S. Army. Rodney was a member of Elizabethtown Brethren In Christ Church and a member of Abraham C. Treichler Lodge #682 F. & A.M., the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection as well as the Harrisburg Consistory. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and volunteering at various community organizations. Mr. Fink was a member and past president of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club. He served a 6 year term as a Mount Joy Township Supervisor, served as a director on the Farmers First Bank Board and served on the Northwest EMS Board. Above all, Rodney enjoyed being a husband and grandfather and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of over 57 years, he will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Lori R. Kolaric, and husband P.J., of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Gavin P. and Westin R. Kolaric, both of Elizabethtown; two brothers, James Fink, of Oklahoma City, OK and Benjamin Fink, and wife Karen, of Elizabethtown as well as his extended family and caring friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1 PM at Elizabethtown Brethren In Christ Church, 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, with Pastor Stephen M. Lane officiating. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family following the services on Friday. Private Interment will be in Bainbridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing held on Thursday evening between 6:00 and 7:45 PM at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7:45 PM on Thursday by the Abraham C. Treichler Masonic Lodge #682, Elizabethtown, F. & A.M.
